My baby crawled around in the playpen as I worked 12-hour days cleaning the floors, and removing wallpaper. Ha! We were getting close to completing, however we were a long distance away. In order to furnish the house it would be an enormous undertaking both in both time and funds. I would also have to go out and shop for my most-loved items. To keep within budget, I began going with my boys to estate sales in search of diamonds. It was our weekly routine to walk around auctions and garage sales on Saturday and Sunday, and buy a variety of pieces old and newly created. It was my job to spend the day on the drive either painting or sanding. It was kind of similar to this... Here's where my obsession with in the process of restoring old furniture got started. Even after our house was fully furnished, I could not stop! I had a space on the local market, and even sold some items there. Then, I ran out of many pieces to store in the room available. I held open houses at my house where 1 000 visitors would pass through over a weekend, and the visitors were able to purchase items on the ground level. My venture Growing Days began here. The business I was running was growing and my family was also expanding. It was like I found the ideal way to balance being a mom as well as starting my own venture. Growing Days fit perfectly. My precious Nora arrived in the year 2013 and was our 4th child. This was a fantastic direction for my business, but I also needed an escape. I opted to take a little time off from my vintage furniture and slow down to remain at home with the kids. That was precisely what I was looking for. However, after just a couple of minutes the phone started to ring. I was getting calls from people asking me to help with their home improvement and interior design. The majority of them were those who had walked through my house during open houses for furniture! The time flew by before I had a fully-fledged home renovation company. I began by taking clients on one with a speed I could be at ease with. When I first heard about your home remodeling business, I laughed. As I reflect back, it makes me smile.
