Taylor-Joy stated that the move had been traumatic, and she was unable to go back to school in English since she was hoping to be able to return to Argentina. She had to switch schools in Northlands towards Hill House. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in various productions.
